                        IMPERIALISM

After industrialization the United States wanted to imperialize mostly economic benefits. The increasing population, wealth, and industrial production led to the need for more resources and searched for new markets to support the growing nation. There was also the idea of international Darwinsim,  Americans wanted to be the strongest nation economically, religiously, militarily, and politically. Despite the strong opposition of some Americans Imperialism started in the 1890's.
